| | vista and incoming email in to Outlook 2003 I have recently experienced an issue on Outlook where I can't receive messages but can send them OK after previously having no problems. I am not aware why there has been a change. I use an HP Pavilion laptop dv2000. I have checked the ISP and the email server (I can read email via the web but just not with my Outlook) and there appear to be no problems. In fact I have the same problem using two different ISPs and email accounts on different servers. I do not seem to have the same problem using an XP based desk-top. The POP settings look correct and in fact have not been changed. Can any one help on this? |

| | RE: vista and incoming email in to Outlook 2003 Ive now uninstalled Norton Internet Security (probably the worst piece of software in the world) and it seems to have helped for a moment. It provides no protection not provided by the regular resident protection. Besides that, McAfee and Norton are not compatible with Windows Mail and Outlook Express and should be uninstalled. I guess they cause problems for Outlook, too. -- Frank Saunders MS-MVP IE,OE/WM www.fjsmjs.com Do not send email |

| | Re: vista and incoming email in to Outlook 2003 Thanks. How do I exclude EML files. I can scan emails with the AVG and that seems to work OK.
