RE: Problem With Windows Vista Discussion Page

Sorry! I should be more specific about the error, It reads as follows:

"An error occurred while sending your post"
"We're sorry, but there was a problem with the system and your post was not
received. The error has been reported to Operations and will be investigated
as soon as possible. Please try again later"

Although you get this message, Yet your post is still Processed, A lot of
repeated posts are found here on the 'Discussion Group'
Some of us who are not aware of the problem post the same thing more than
once, and later find that we have duplicate posts...

Re: Problem With Windows Vista Discussion Page

Its a bug with the web-based newsreader. Try the one in Windows Mail if you
are annoyed by it.

Re: Problem With Windows Vista Discussion Page

Can I access these MS help groups in OE 6 on XP? Its just that they are not
listed on the normal newsgroups you get when connecting through your ISP
server

Re: Problem With Windows Vista Discussion Page

They are on msnews.microsoft.com. In OE6 you click the Newsgroups icon in
the top panel and then filter on "Vista."

Re: Problem People In Charge Won't Fix

And to put it politely and professionally, and of course repsectfully
especially where respect is due, the reason it persists is because the html
web based news access for MSFT newsgroups has been doing this for months and
the lazy community people who run it won't get off their ass to fix it.
Bugs can go ignored for years with them. What they actually do is very
unclear.

Consider the people who pick up a community paycheck at MSFT the Custer
Battles and Halliburton of MSFT:

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/...n1302378.shtml

Maybe there will be a "60 Minutes" segment on them.

Use Win Mail or OE's NNTP news reader or google for NNTP newsreader for
access and this won't happen.

Re: Accessing NNTP Groups in XP

Marc---

These links have screenshots to use the simple Wizard for XP. Vista has a
nice feature that lets you hit them with a single click on MSFT Help Groups.
