| | Installing an older Access based program in Vista I am attempting to install a program called Tapetracker which was written on an old version of Access on my new computer and during the install get the following message: "Cannot change properties of the file named: C:\WINDOWS\ _MSRSTRT.EXE." After giving this message, the installation aborts. Has anyone else gotten a similar message? Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix the problem. |

| | Re: Installing an older Access based program in Vista From your post "... install a program called Tapetracker which was written on an old version of Access ..." is confusing (at least to me) - you cannot write programs with Access - Access does provide for writing programs in Visual Basic to run within Access. Google for MSRSTRT.Exe "ikoman" <u38887@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:7ae1d0937ba0a@xxxxxx Quote: >I am attempting to install a program called Tapetracker which was written >on > an old version of Access on my new computer and during the install get the > following message: "Cannot change properties of the file named: > C:\WINDOWS\ > _MSRSTRT.EXE."
