RE: laptop

Not a good buy!

You need al least 4 USB ports for the amount of peripferals you use:
Printer, camera, bluetooth, etc.

Adobe, Yahoo, etc are also FREE programs; and some you will NOT want.

The 3 year Antivirus would be Norton or Trend-micro; which are crap!

Re: laptop

Andre; Read.

If you have a laptop, do YOU want to cart a hub around with you.
Do you want to plug a camera into a hub, into the laptop when you are in the
countryside?
I think NOT

Re: laptop

If she is in the country side, why do you assume she is going to be using
lots of devices? I personally think the amount of USB ports is enough.

Re: laptop

IMHO a bit expensive. Nice to see 2gb offered. Many in the UK have only 1gb
(as mine did) and it was impossibly slow until I put another 1gb in. I have
the "glossy" screen on my HP laptop and find that in any bright room the
screen can't be seen for reflections. Outside, it's useless. May want to
consider this, since it is terrible on the eyes and a most ridiculous
current "fad.". Otherwise, a nice machine. HTH James :-)

RE: laptop

According to Dell specs, it has 5 usb ports which should be ample, price
maybe a bit high but in all appears a pretty good buy, not a games machine,
for general computing OK.
Your decission!!!!
Happy computing & goodluck
