| | Path Copy and URL Copy How do you use PathCopy from NinoTech and URL Copy from Moonsoftware in Vista? When you right click on the *.INF file there is now no install. In XP if you right clicked on a link you could Open or Open in new window. How do you get his to work in Vista? So many things that worked so easily in XP are just a nightmare in Vista. Thankfully the new laptop I just purchased from Toshiba came with a full version of XP as well. I am not far off formatting and installing XP. I don't think this is about not getting to grips with Vista, it is everything is so unbelievably complex and so difficult to do. The only thing I can say I really like in Vista to XP is Windows Mail - and that is presently the only thing keeping me using Vista. |

| Vista Ultimate 32 | Re: Path Copy and URL Copy try Copy Path to Clipboard - ClipboardPath I used to use Ninotech CopyPath to get full UNC path to files but it does not work in Vista. This is a bit simpler but it does work. The free software "ClipboardPath" adds a new command "Copy Path to Clipboard" to the context menu for files and folders. Pasting the complete filename or foldername into any dialog or editor is just a mouse click away. You always get the full path. Just click with the right mouse button on any file or folder and select "Copy Path to Clipboard". Now the full pathname is in clipboard and can easily be pasted into e.g. text editors, email editors or file dialogs. If you hold down Ctrl while clicking, a local network path will be converted to the corresponding UNC path (\\server\share\...) |
