| | Host processes for windows vista has stopped working Windows Vista Home Premium I have the problem that randomly windows host processes stops working and must close after this i cannot start or install programs getting the error that the pipe state is invalid. folders revert to windows classic look and freeze often. I believe the problem is with my security software - Panda 2008 but after a long time of email support from them they cannot find a problem or a solution any ideas here? Thanks |

Thanks Download an install the latest drivers for your display card (BETA drivers do not count). If that does not work, try a different graphics card. I may be able to help more if I knew exactly which process it is that is being terminated, but it sounds like DWM.EXE (Desktop Windows Manager) or something else that could be related to Aero perhaps. |
