| | How to install Vista Ultimate 32-bit Version I have the Retail Vista Ultimate Upgrade Version which inlucdes both the 32-bit and 64-bit Version. Because of various incompatablity issues, I would rather install the 32-bit version. Everytime I install the software, I am not given a choice, and it installs the 64-bit version. Even if I wipe the drive completely it installs the 64-bit version. Any ideas?????????????? -Jim- |

| | Re: How to install Vista Ultimate 32-bit Version LOL, DUH, Thanks Carey!!! I just grabbed the first DVD I saw and didn't bother to even look that it said 64-bit at the top, two re-installs and later and countless hours, I knew I was missing something rather simple, I just never imagined it to be that simple. Thanks for the fast response!!! -Jim- "Carey Frisch [MVP]" wrote: Quote: > Use the 32-bit Vista DVD and not the 64-bit Vista DVD. > A "clean install" is required. > > -- > Carey Frisch > Microsoft MVP > Windows Shell/User > > --------------------------------------------------------------- > > "Jim" <Jim@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:E25927C0-4BCC-4242-8932-169E41C3E8A5@xxxxxx > I have the Retail Vista Ultimate Upgrade Version which inlucdes both the > 32-bit and 64-bit Version. > > Because of various incompatablity issues, I would rather install the 32-bit > version. > > Everytime I install the software, I am not given a choice, and it installs > the 64-bit version.
