| | Windows Explorer has stopped working (drag & drop) - solution for Having trawled various support sites I found a solution that worked for me in less than five minutes. My error was caused by a Toshiba bluetooth file: TosBtExt.dll Location: C:\Windows\system32\TosBtExt.dll. I simply disabled this file and my drag and drop worked fine. I used this freeware to originally find the problem and also disable the file: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html. My control panel used to take 30 seconds to open as well - it now opens immediately. Happy me. I hope this helps others. |

Happy me. I hope this helps others. > I had the same familiar error message 'windows explorer has stopped working' The cure to the problem on my pc was to uninstall the software 'phone tools' by BVRP. I installed this program so i could link my Motorola RAZR via bluetooth with my pc. Unfortunatley the software didn't work so well with Vista. After reading this post on how it was a bluetooth file that was causing someone elses problem I decided to uninstall phone tools as it was the only software i had recently installed that had any association with bluetooth wireless. Sure enough the error messages have never come back since the uninstall. I hope this helps some of you out because I know how frustrating it has been trying to solve this. |

| | RE: Windows Explorer has stopped working (drag & drop) - solution The thing is i don't have any bleutooth device installed. If uninstalled cloned CD which allways makes trouble, 7z and a couple of other small programms, but still the same. No Drag and drop whatsoever...
