| | Sync issue with Outlook 2007 and Mobile Device Center v2 solved ! As reported all sync of my Pocket PC stopped after the installation of V2 of the Mobile Device Center - and I am using Outlook 2007 Beta which Vista couldn't see. My level of frustration about this was high, as I really need this functionality to sync my appointments and contacts, so I uninstalled Outlook 2007 Beta and tried with Outlook 2002. Thsi gave all sorts of problems as Outlook 2002 can't read the Outlook 2007 Beta datafiles/stores. So I gave up on that and reinstalled Outlook 2007 Beta and....now sync worked right away! My guess is that V2 of the Mobile Device Center needs to be installed before Outlook 2007 Beta. On XP SP2 the installation of ActiveSync also automatically is done before Outlook 2002 from the CD-ROM provided by my manufacturer (Dell). Thsi must have something to due with listening and registering |
