| | smiley centrql I am new to computer usage and am curious to know how to determine if an entity is a trusted source on windows vista. what is safe and unsafe in terms of my personal comuputer being remotely accessed is daunting to me and really is confusing when i am interested in basic fun such as smiley central.com! |

| | Re: smiley centrql Make sure you keep your Windows OS updated with all the security and critical updates. If you haven't already, install a good antivirus program. Scan your hard drive periodically for malware and viruses. Make sure your firewall is turned on. I would also suggest you run behind a router. Also, stay away from sites that offer you free screen savers and smiley faces because usually they give you more than what you ask for. If you do all the above you shouldn't have to worry very much.
