Internet Explorer Shutting Down - Almost Unusable

I'm running 64bit Vista Home Premium with Avast Antivirus

I've followed every recommendation on this message board related to Java,
Flash Player, resetting all IE settings, starting add-ins one at a time, full
virus scans, etc.

IE keeps crashing and restarting. The website I've been trying to access to
see if the problem is corrected is the Scion motors website which opens with
a Macromedia flash and uses Java. I'm fairly certain the problem is related
to one of the two, but I've run the flash uninstall program and reinstalled
and it works on the adobe site. I can test the Java on the Sun site and it
appears to work.

The only add-ins enabled now are the Java, Flash, Quicktime (1) and any
Microsoft items. Still no luck with the website and any site with matching
configuration kills the browser immediately.

I need some advanced help as I have done just about everything I've seen
posted so far.

http://www.scion.com/#home ? Working for me. Is there a specific
page that doesn't work inside? I don't have any ideas atm on the
issue.

Karl:

The home page won't even load. I get the status indicator that the flash
has loaded 100% then it dies.
