Screensaver turns on automatically

Hi!.
I have installed Windows Vista in 2 computers. Since last week, the
screensaver turns on automatically. I turn off, but after 5 minutes appears
the windows logo all the times.
What's the matter?

Sorry if nobody understand it, my english isn't good.

You can turn the screen saver off by clicking Start->Control
Panel->Appearance and Personalization->Personalization->Screen Saver.
Select None if you want no screen saver. You can also change the
timeout so it is longer than 5 minutes before the screen saver engages.

Re: Screensaver turns on automatically

Yes, I select "none" and click in Apply. But when I restart the computer or
wait 5/10 minutes since I change it, the screensaver appears again

Are these computers on a network where policy pushed from a server are
setting a specific screen saver and timeout?

Regardless of whether you have turned off the screensaver or not, if you reboot and remain in the login screen, the Windows Logo screensaver will appear. This is a safety measure to protect screen burn-in when the computer is not in use.

Hi Ma_c,

If what dzomlija is the case, then step 12 in this tutorial will show you how to turn off or disable the logon screen saver as well.

Re: Screensaver turns on automatically

Hello, Did you ever find a way to change the configurations?

I have a new computer, and I put the screen saver to go on after 60 minutes,
but it keeps on going on after 5 minutes.
