| | Control of Vista Services Is there a Vista desktop utility that extends the job done by the Services Console so that one can see a list of running services, the Vista default status for the installed version of Vista, the actual status (started) startup type (Automatic/Manual/Disabled) with buttons to select the desired state and warnings where depencency conflicts have been unwittingly invoked? I have downloaded REG files from half way down the page at http://www.blackviper.com/WinVista/c..._HomePre32.php which works and has all the right ideas, but is a laborious way of doing what I would like to be able to do/undo with BlackViper style radio buttons and a degree of automation including the option to reset selected processes back to their Vista default values. With its checkboxes Autoruns/Services almost does it but lacks plain language descriptions. It seems such an obvious requirement that I feel it must be out there somewhere. Doug |
