Speed up Winzip program

    Speed up Winzip program

    when I unzip a pogram or or huge files over 1,000 files it takes a while to
    unzip but I use XP it unzips faster. why does it do that. or how can unzip
    (extract) them faster?

    Vista built-in ZIP support leaves much to be desired. Here's a better solution:

    WinZip® - The Zip File Utility for Windows - Zip/Unzip, Encrypt/Decrypt

    7-Zip may be free, but it's not the easiest or most user-friendly out there. WinZip may be a better solution for you, even though it's not free.

    Possibly just a limitation of the program. The only thing you can do is use
    an alternative as suggested by ThePro or continue using the built in one in
    Vista or XP since you said you have had good results them.
