Wireless Mouse Prevents Screen Saver?

Hi:
After installing and using Microsoft Notebook Optical Mouse 3000
Screen-Saver stopped to kick-in no matter how hard I tried to do.

Wonder whether Wireless Mouse prevents Screen Saver to work on
Vista?

Thanks for any help.

To fix the mouse issue, you can uncheck the "Allow this device to wake
the computer" in the "Power Management" tab in Device Manger for the
device's properties. See "STEP FIVE" in this tutorial for how. You will
have to use the keyboard to wake the computer from sleep mode and screen
saver.

RE: Wireless Mouse Prevents Screen Saver?

Have you applied the "Microsoft - Other Hardware - HID Non-user Input data
filter" optional update from Windows update? This was a fix for the
Microsoft
wireless mouse/screen saver problem.

Re: Wireless Mouse Prevents Screen Saver?

Hi:
Thanks for the responses.

Paul:
It sounds terrifc.

I looked at the web-site, but I am not able
to find one about which you're suggesting.

Could you direct me an appropriate web-site
that would resolve the problem I have been
tackling.

Thanks,

Re: Wireless Mouse Prevents Screen Saver?

Hi:
It's done.

I'm SO happy to see Screen Saver came back to the life.

BTW, what other UPDATE I should install?
I have Roxio Easy CD Creater '6,' then I may need
another Update for it to work?

I purchased this computer with Vista on Thansgiving Sale,
Black Friday by having lined up for more than two hours.

It's not easy to learn Vista, but I still plan to stick with it.

Any other useful suggestion on 'How to Master Vista' would
be appreciated.

Thanks again.
