| | Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 It seems the drift of the discussions are leaning toward Vista not liking the new Service Pack 1. My question is does anyone at Microsoft read the threads and will they fix the problem? -- Confused |

| | RE: Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 Hi Engel: Downloaded the Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en After runnig ontop of the other, I no longer had the update icon showing in the notification area of the task bar. The Windows Update history is showing failures on the previous updates attemts, but there is no recommendation for pending updates. | | RE: Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 Efrain, I followed your suggestion and it worked. I downloaded from the below site to my desktop and executed it. I was told to restart my computer which I did. Once I got a desktop screen, I still had the icon in my tray. I executed the icon and .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 installed! When I check the installation history I see all the failed Framework 1.1 attempts (4) and at the top it shows successful. Thanks for the tip. | | Re: Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 Annie, The manual download/update works. After the successful installation I went back to MS Update and searched for more updates. I didn't have another security update to install. All works fine now. Thanks, Roger "Annie R J Brion" wrote: Quote: > Gayle wrote: Quote: > > It seems the drift of the discussions are leaning toward Vista not liking the > > new Service Pack 1.
