Re: dear microsoft

Since 4 months have passed, you have few options since the
return/exchange period of the computer has probably passed.
Your options may now be limited to keeping Windows Vista or purchasing
Windows XP and downgrading that way.
Obviously a bad option since you would pay full price.
Before doing so, verify there are Windows XP drivers for all the
hardware.
More and more hardware seems to lack Windows XP support as time
passes.

Major retailers do not have the option for Windows XP from what I have
seen.
But there are more options.

Dell, Toshiba and others continue to sell computers with Windows XP.
As for where you are, you would have to check with them in your area
as availability may differ in different parts of the world.
Similar with local computer shops, many if not all near me, will sell
a computer with Windows XP or Vista and other operating systems.

Re: dear microsoft

Jupiter, thanks for your interest, but returning the PC (just because it
came with Vista?) was never possible. And, at first, I thought I could
easily get used to Vista - as I did master all other Windows versions.
So I spent weeks re-installing and configuring everything. (Easy
Transfer did not work).
But after 4 months, I am ready to give up.
And, yes, I have a legit (bought) Win XP Profesional disk.
But, as has been said by someone else:
""""""I would really like to roll back to XP. However, this is not
possible unless I format the disk and reinstall everything - this is
just not an option...
I am therefore seemingly stuck with Vista and its problems.
""""""
Anyhow, thanks for your efforts.
Roger.
