Shift Key - How to turn off cursor jump function

I have a new Acer Laptop with an extremely large and sensitive shift key. If
you just barely graze the key it will jump to cursor to a new location such
as the previous paragraph or the beginning of the sentence. This is
extremely annoying and causing my to take 3 times as long to type anything.
I have never had to this problem on any other computer before.

How do I turn of this funtion in the shift key?

I don't know if that will help your issue but try to turn off the keys in
Control Panel / Ease of Access (Keyboard Setting).

Ask Acer support about this. There must be a utility for shortcut keys that
you can turn off.

Thanks! You set me on the right track. I had to turn on the Bounce Key
function in the control Panel and it fixed the problem!!
