| | Unable to open Microsoft Acccess (mdb) files My wife's old PC with Windows 98 crashed in the middle of an important project so I had to rush out and and buy a new system that day. I saw the crash coming and was able to save all our documents ( done in Microsoft Office 2000 Professional) and they all open in Vista except for the Access files. When I try to open them in Microsoft Works it says the files may be corrupted. How do I get access to my Access? -- Bob |

| | Re: Unable to open Microsoft Acccess (mdb) files I don't think Works will open Access files. | | RE: Unable to open Microsoft Acccess (mdb) files I was hoping there was a work around or some way to convert .mdb files to those used in Works. Thanks for the info. Now I know my next step. -- Bob "Bob" wrote: Quote: > My wife's old PC with Windows 98 crashed in the middle of an important > project so I had to rush out and and buy a new system that day. | | Re: Unable to open Microsoft Acccess (mdb) files Office Small Business Edition does not include Access. You need to upgrade to a version of Office that includes Access or purchase Access. -- Kerry Brown Microsoft MVP - Shell/User http://www.vistahelp.ca "patricia@xxxxxx" <patriciachicago@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:562AF914-B0F4-44C7-8FA7-25853C677A8A@xxxxxx Quote: > > I am also unable to open my .mdb files now that I have Vista so I > installed > my Office Small Business XP 2002 and I am still not able to open the .mdb > files.
