| | USB Drivers in Windows Vista I have Windows Vista Home Premium on my laptop. I recently purchased a new USB flash drive. I am having trouble installing it on my machine. It seems like it can't find the driver or install it. I have tried numerous amounts of ways to fix this, but I have had no luck. Anybody have an idea? |

I think the problem arose from the MS automated upgrade from better than a week ago related to HID devices. Anyway, here is the solution I posted on the .....hardware.devices... Newsgroup. Good luck - IM There are 32 & 64 bit HOTFIX's, be sure to get the correct one below "I just installed the noted HOTFIX, which resolved all my USB issues. You can get the HOTFIX from the link below. | | Re: USB Drivers in Windows Vista Don't know if this will help or not, but both my usb mouse and usb printer stopped working. I had to install a new mouse, but I was able to get the printer to work by switching usb ports. | | Re: USB Drivers in Windows Vista I've tried that and it didn't work. The problem is not only with a usb flash drive, but with any device i try to plug in, like an external hard drive. It wont find the driver for it. keith "Robin" wrote: Quote: > Don't know if this will help or not, but both my usb mouse and usb printer > stopped working.
