Unable to delete a file

It's a common GIF file.
When I trying to delete it, it spends "unlimited" time do wait, wait,
wait...

Any method/tool can help me to do so?

I've had this happen to me a couple of times. It hasn't for some time now, which I can only attribute to having completed a full Windows Update.

Have you tried this?

Re: Unable to delete a file

del /f [filename] also does not help.
I had a Google search and therefore know that it is a known bug in Vista.
I am waiting for MSFT to send me the fix.

Re: Unable to delete a file

If you find that when you try to Copy, your Vista takes ages; or if you
have noticed a slow down or a non-response message when copying a file
across the network; and if the copy process stops responding (or hangs),
then this tips for you. Microsoft has come out with a Fix for that.

Install hotfix 931770 !

For more information click 'The copy process may stop responding when
you try to copy files from a server on a network to a Windows
Vista-based computer'

However the Fix is also available at 'Hotfix'
