Vista - sound controler software vista 64 & MB temp control

1, Since vista does not offer the option like previous OS to control sound
individually to front, back, central & subwoofer speakers when using 5.1, 6.1
or 7.1.
my problem is since front & rear are default to same level cannot here the
rear ones defeating the purpose of a surround system.

Anyone familiar with a working software usable on vista 64?

2, i used to like the temperature monitor controler software that came with
my intel motherboard under XP!! very handy and avoids frying your MB parts.

Any software vista 64bit compatible?
