    Office button flashes continuously ... How do I stop it?

    I have just installed Office 2007 and am using Word. The Office
    button in the top left flashes continuously - maybe pulse would be a
    better word, from the normal blue background to an orange
    background. I can't find out what this is telling me or why it is
    doing it, but it's driving me nuts. How do I sort it out?

    microsoft.public.office.misc

    Have you tried repairing your installation?
