How to turn off security "shield" icon?

My new computer is not hooked up to the internet, I just want all the
security stuff off. I've turned off the repeated questions but that
shield in the start up at the bottom keeps coming on every two minutes
telling me I need to check stuff. How can get it completely off the
computer? Thanks for any help.

Hi,

Go to the control panel/security center, click on the line to "change the
way security center alerts me" and disable notifications.
