| Vista Home Premium 64-bit | cabview.dll file association (Fix Native Vista Support) I had been experimenting with archive/compression programs. In the aftermath of installs and uninstalls, the (Windows Vista) native association of *.ZIP and *.CAB files has become broken. Thanks to a post in this forum, I was able to re-associate *.ZIP folders by reading here: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/65...ile-vista.html So, *.ZIP is fixed, but the *.CAB files association didn't seem correct, so I tried: assoc .cab=CompressedFolder WRONG!! I re-applied the registry fix and it didn't return cab file support to where it had been. ... and I have returned to see if I can get some help in properly correcting native *.cab file support in Vista (Home Premium 64bit). |
