Ipod 60gb video.. wont mount on any machine suddenly (itunes 7.5x)..

I'm having an issue i cant seem to figure out.. my ipod will no longer
mount.. i hear the double beep when its connected.. it says its
charging but i dont get the "do not disconnect" message anymore.. nor
does it show up in itunes..

This is under Vista or XP..

Has anyone run into this and found a fix before?

Thanks

I did that.. but it didnt work unfortunately.. but i have a nice clean
library, which is cool by me..

I ended up doing the whole.. menu plus select, reset the ipod deal..
then when i plug it in we are all good.

Yeah.. i cant wait till xplay v3.0 is released early next year.. cant
stand itunes.. especially because of things like the lack of "folder
monitoring".. having to readd the whole library or drag files from my
music location everytime i add more music.. its downright annoying.

Thanks for the help

Create a restore point then I would uninstall iTunes and Quicktime download
the Microsoft Patch for iPod and Download the latest version of iTunes. In
System/Device Manager USB controllers uninstal Mass
Storage Device and look for any unknown device or iPod device listed. Check
that the iPod is not listed as a HDD. Launch iTunes then plug in the iPod to
get new hardware found. When you get to the find driver option point the
application to find the drivers in c:\windows\windows32. This should complete
a success installation. Well it did in my case. Good Luck

Cheers
