| | Explorer Context Menu I am running Vista U x64 and have installed a number of programs, such as WinZip, etc. that displayed options on the context menu under XP. I would like these same context menu items to be exposed under Vista. I assume there must be a registry subtree I can export, modify and reimport, but don't know where this is and did not find anything using google. Any input? Thanks, Tony |

Thanks, Tony They are there, but will only be accessible from a 32-Bit process. To get the full context menus in both 32-Bit and 64-Bit programs, you'll need to get a new version of WinZip. | | Re: Explorer Context Menu You must be running an old version of WinZip on Vista x64, because the latest version of WinZip (version 11) supports right click menu contextual items. The only work around I can suggest is upgrading the latest version of WinZip or try alternatives such as WinRAR or 7-Zip: '7-Zip' (http://www.7-zip.org/) -- Andre Blog: http://adacosta.spaces.live.com My Vista Quickstart Guide: http://adacosta.spaces.live.com/blog...3DB!9709.entry "Anthony Bollinger" <tonyb@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:43940055-D235-4F2F-A7A9-D56F2096E4BA@xxxxxx Quote: >I am running Vista U x64 and have installed a number of programs, such as >WinZip, etc. that displayed options on the context menu under XP. | | Re: Explorer Context Menu Thanks for the feedback. I guess since 32 bit programs run fine under Vista 64, I didn't think that explorer extensions would be an issue. Anyway, I will both check out those upgrade possibilities and keep searching. Thanks! Tony |
