disable automatic selection

is there some way to disable the automatic selection when the cursor
stops ever so briefly on something that can be selected with mouse click

its not a selection by default. you will notice that when you hover on a
clickable item its light blue - only on clicking it gets selected and is
highlighted in darker color.

Its the default behaviour, not unless you revert to Windows Classic.

Right click Desktop > click Personalize > click Themes > in the Themes list
box, click Windows Classic > click OK.
