RaZoR_GTX: ASUS A8N32-Sli-Deluxe Mobo

Hi RaZoR_GTX.

To answer your question, the ASUS A8N-32-Sli-Deluxe motherboard will not show the full 4 gig memory installed, regardless of whether or not you use Vista 32 or Vista 64. You can see for yourself in the following screenshot:

The BIOS will report that you have 4GB ram installed, and will also report how much of this is actually available.

But don't let this put you off from installing the full 4GB, and this ASUS motherboard absolutely rocks with that amount of ram. Just one word of caution though, if you're planning on going to Vistta x64:

Make sure that all your hard disks on the IDE and SATA controllers have 32-Bit disk access enabled in the BIOS. Even with the newest drivers, turning off those options in the BIOS will cause BSOD like you've never seen with Vista x64.

Re: RaZoR_GTX: ASUS A8N32-Sli-Deluxe Mobo

So my vista 32x should use "3311mb" depending on what hardware use's i have. 32x and 64x shouldnt have any differences regardless of the memory issue for this mobo? Thank you ery much dzomlija! I shall try this when Xmas day comes

Could you possibly supply a link for the 32x and 64x vista drivers for the mobo/bios for other users, as i have seen this question popup alot.

Thank buddy

P.s Id like to also add that the amount of ram 2gb/4gb does improve the performance of gfx, as it takes pressure of the gfx card chip?

Done! I have the link bookmarked:

ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support-

Under "General Download", do the following:
  1. Select "Motherboard"
  2. Select "Socket939"
  3. Select "A8N32-SLI Deluxe"
  4. Click "Search"
  5. Under "Operating System", select either "Vista 32bit" or "Vista 64bit"
And yes, even with the deficit imposted by the onboard devices of the motherboard, using 4GB ram will definitely improve performance.

Let me put it to you another way: I have a really low-end graphics card (ASUS nVidia 6600 PCI-Express 128MB), and the one game that I thought would kill my system is running perfectly! I am, of course, talking about Crysis.

It's a true testament to the quality of AMD, ASUS and nVidia hardware.
