Setting open-file dialogue defaults

I posted this on the 7th and just noticed it doesn't show as posted so I'm reposting it with hopes of a response:
When I go to open file how can I set it so it always comes up in details and always has filename, date modified and size instead of a bunch of things I don't want. I know how to change it for that one window. What I need to know is how to make it the default for ALL dialogues.

Hope that makes sense.
Thanks,
Sheila

Hi Sheila,

This is a two part solution.

First:
You will need to reset the folder view settings so Vista will remember your folder setting changes correctly. Method Two in this tutorial will show you how. The download is the easiest way.

Windows Explorer Folder View settings

Second:
This tutorial will show you how to apply the folder template changes to all the same folder types.
