Permissions...

I had a Vista business comuter crap out on me.
I was able to remove the HD & copy users folder to new computer's HD, but
when I try to open or import contacts or mail from his old pst file (Outlook
2007), I get a message that I don't have permission!
Looking at security, the user has full control over those files!
What's up with that?
I've even tried to take ownership & still nothing!

Well, I ran into a permission issue downloading a document to the Document
folder. I was getting permission and access denied on writing to the folder.
Yes, one of the accounts had Write permission denied and that account
superseded all other accounts on the folder. I suggest you look at account
permissions on the folder Security tab, and use the Edit button and look at
the permission on the folder for each account.

BTW, how the Authenticated group on the folder got set to Write denied is a
mystery, because I never set it to that.
