Oh-oh updates

Hi,
I just downloaded, installed, and restarted my comp. after the recent run of
Vista updates. Right now explorer.exe is running at a really high mem. usage
and taking over 50% of my cpu usage in task manager.

My little computer sounds like it about to explode because the fans and hard
drive are spinning at full speed. What update caused this? or what is going
on?

Re: Oh-oh updates

Click Start > All Programs > Windows Update > View Update History. You
should then see the most recently installed updates. Have recently installed
an application other than Windows Updates that could also be affecting the
performance? Have you scanned your PC for viruses and spyware?

Installed Vists Ultimate 64bit with 512Mb of memory, same problem.
CPU running flat out, ASUS Q'fan controller running CPU fan flat out,
memory running flat out, hard drive running hot with all the cache
accesses.
Put in 4GB Crucial, all is peaceful again, but Vista is such
crap I'm going back to XP, whist I look at into few Linux
distros.
Maybe you need more memory, or a less bloated OS.
