Power off button

Hi, first off, I didn't know where to put this, so please excuse me if it's
in the wrong place.
I've been using Vista Home Premium for about 3 months now, and before I had
to reinstall about 2 months ago, I found a way to put the Power Off button
(the red one) in my Start Menu rather then the one that is usually in there
on Vista (the orange one). Like I said, I've had to reinstall Vista, so now
it's back to the orange one, and I want the red one back, problem is, I don't
know how I did it last time.
If you don't understand what I'm saying that's 100% my fault. I'm from
Belgium, and although I consider my English to be pretty good, it's far from
perfect when it comes to explaining these kind of things (mainly because I
have Vista installed in Dutch).

Hope anyone can help me, thanks in advance .

Hi PS-Gunkie

This tutorial will show you how to change the power button in the Start menu to what you want it's function to be. The red one would be to shutdown.

RE: Power off button

Hi ps-gunkie,

To change the action of the default shutdown option on the start menu, do
the following. Open 'Control Panel', 'Hardware and sound', 'Power options'.
Click 'Change plan settings' under the selected option. Click 'Change
advanced power settings'. Expand the 'Power buttons and lid' option. Open the
'Start menu power button'. The current option is usually 'Sleep', but if you
click on this, you can change it to what you like from 'Sleep', 'Hibernate'
and 'Shut down'. As 'Shut down' is the option you require, select that. Click
'OK' and close all other windows. If you click on your start menu, you will
find the shutdown option is now what you require.
