| | Vista x64 only sees 3326MB of RAM?!? Hi, Dell doesn't want to help me because I changed OS from Vista Home 32bit to Vista Enterprise 64bit :-( I've added 2 1GB PC5300 DIMMs to my existing 2 1GB PC5300 DIMMs for a total of 4 GB. BIOS sees 4GB and yet, Vista **64Bit** (NOT 32bit) sees only 3326MB. The system is a Dell Inspiron 530 with an Intel G33 chipset. I've added an ATI 2600XT (256MB onboard RAM) video card so I believe I'm not sharing any RAM with the video card. BIOS is up to date. Anybody knows what I can do to use all (most) of the RAM? I've searched the Web and I've seen this 'problem' mentioned with Vista 32bit but not 64 bit. System settings in Vista clearly says: 64-bit Operating System. Thanks. |

According to this link from Intel, the chipset supports 8GB of RAM. http://compare.intel.com/pcc/showcha...&culture=en-US On Dec 12, 9:10 pm, "Kerry Brown" <ke...@xxxxxx-tems.c*a*m> wrote: Quote: > It sounds like the motherboard itself only supports 4 GB.
