| | Easy Vista Back Button? Aloha all. Just bought an HP laptop with Vista Home Premium. Doesn't seem very intuitive, possibly because I'm used to XP? Anyway, is there a way to get a Back button on my folders, rather than going to the directory? I'm used to the back button and can't seem to snag the tree concept. Thanks! |

Anyway, is there a way to get a Back button on my folders, rather than going to the directory? I'm used to the back button and can't seem to snag the tree concept. Thanks! The Vista "Breadcrumb Bar" works much better. Lets say you're in the folder "E:\Pictures\Nature\Animals\Wildlife" (displayed in Explorer Breadcrumb Bar as "E:>Pictures>Nature>Animals>Wildlife"), and you wanted to get back to "E:\Pictures\Nature". With the traditional "UP" button, you'd have to click it twice to get there. In Vista, all you have to do is click on "Nature" in the breadcrumb bar to get back there. If you where to click on the little arrow between "Nature" and "Animals", you'd get a drop-down menu of subfolders that exist within the "Nature" folder. Hope that helps |
