Is Windows Mobile 5.0 OS compatible with Windows Vista?

I have a new computer with Windows Vista, and I have been unable to get my
Palm OS Desktop software to work correctly on it, so I am considering
upgrading to a Motorola Q smartphone, which runs Windows Mobile 5.0 OS
instead of Palm OS. Does anyone know how well the Windows Mobile works on
Vista? Thanks!

In either case, the OS that runs on the device is not relevant. The software that links your PDA to your desktop is.

Your Palm Desktop software may be out of date. Have your checked you PDA manufacturers website for updates? If you are planning on getting the Motorola Q, you'll also need to first confirm that it's accessory software is compatible with Vista.

You'll need the Windows Mobile Device Center software, but yes it will work
fine once that software is loaded.

Make sure you install version 6.1 of Mobile Device Center.
