Vista - SpoolerWin32SPL Error Crashing PC

I'm getting the following error which is causing my PC to freeze..

The print spooler failed to reopen an existing printer connection because it could not read the configuration information from the registry key S-1-5-18\Printers\Connections. The print spooler could not open the registry key. This can occur if the registry key is corrupt or missing, or if the registry recently became unavailable.

I cant figure this one out, I'm not trying to print anything and there is no pending documents in the the print spoolers.
Anyone know whats wrong or point me in the right direction?

I have a new machine and have noticed this error too, have you found out what this is or a fix for it? Thanks

hi i also have a new quad core system and i have got this error too and lots more from vista what the hell is going on i want answers bring back xp

My guess it was related to the drivers. Since the installation of sp1 for windows vista, I have not had this error. Anyone else?
