| Guest | Internet Problems Hi guys I know this might sound silly but I recently had to get a new wireless router as my old belkin G router went off. I got a netgear one instead as people told me belkin are not the best. Since I have had the netgear on my system a few of my normal pages Play.com and cdwow wont open properly, now maybe it is just me but can anyone else give me any advice please. When I open the pages either they wont show the full page or they come up with weird letters and symbols instead of whatever should be on the screen. I have gone through about 30 other of my favorites and they seem okay but as I said it was okay up until I put the new netgear router on cheers Dave |

| Guest | Re: Internet Problems Hi Dave, Flush the dns cache and TIF's. Close Internet Explorer, go to the Control Panel/Internet Options and click the button to delete files under browsing history, then delete temporary files. Close the dialog when complete. Click start and type CMD. Right click the entry in the program menu and choose 'run as administrator'. From the prompt, run "ipconfig /flushdns" (without the quotes). Once you get the "successfully flushed..." message, you can exit the prompt and retry those pages. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org My thoughts http://rick-mvp.blogspot.com "Dragon" <davewhitnospam@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:e6C0p6dQIHA.4712@xxxxxx Quote: > Hi guys I know this might sound silly but I recently had to get a new > wireless router as my old belkin G router went off. | ɠɛɐǨ | Re: Internet Problems There are some problems using the networking stack in vista checkout some guide available on http://www.vistax64.com from the newsgroup who have had similar issues from device firmware, dns, autotuning and dchp flags being incorrect as it just depends on how vista is setup. |
