Vista - Please help...

Ok guys. I am trying one more time for assistance. I am having problems
burning my dvd with dvd movie maker and dvd maker to play on my dvd player. I
have a fairly new progressive scan dvd player that allows all types of dvd to
play on it. I also have a brand new PC that also allows all types of dvd's to
play on it.

My problem: I can upload the media from my camcorder dv. I can put in all
the fancy effects etc. and I can also turn it over to dvd maker and burn it
on a dvd successfully. The only problem I have is that it will play in my PC
and on my Xbox 360 but not any of my dvd players. Before I do all the effects
and stuff I can burn the before version of my camcorder media using
convertxtodvd and it will play in my dvd player. However, that is a boring
copy with no special effects or transitions or anything. I want the effects.
Something is happening between the effects and turning it over to dvd maker
that is causing it not to play in my dvd player. Can ANYONE explain to me
why, or help me solve this very annoying problem. I have so many tapes that I
would love to transfer to DVD but Cannot for some reason. Thanks in advance
