Run a very thorough Virus scan to make sure you do not have one. There are some out there that will do this. 2. Check the CD/DVD drive's tray open/close push button. Make sure it is not stuck and still has a slight click when you press it. 3. Check the drive data and power cables to make sure that they are connected properly to the drive and motherboard. 4. You may have a defective CD/DVD drive. If you have a spare old one laying around, try replacing it with that one as a test. 5. Have you add anyone do a "Remote Assistance" connection with you? I had folks report back that it was their friends messing with them through a remote connection. You would of had to set this up with them for them to be able to connect to your computer like that the first time. Hope this helps, Shawn |
