Vista - WMP11 Album Info not working

I am using WMP 11 with Home premium.
When I attempt to rip a CD using WMP it does not recognise the album, nor
any of the tracks.

When I use the 'Find album info' function the page
redir.metaservices.microsoft.com will not load (This program cannot display
the webpage). I have an uninteruppted internet connection.

I have not installed new software nor changed settings, yet have been
experiencing this problem for over a month. The albuminfo function worked
smothly up until then. I am unable to use WMP to manage my music files in
even the most rudimentary way.

Has anyone else had these problems? Has MS got any advice? Do I just shrug
my shoulders and add this to the list stuff that has frustrated me since
upgrading to a vista machine?

Are you behind a proxy of some sort?
Do you have a custom set UserAgent field for your browser?
Can you connect to http://windowsmedia.com ?
The AlbumInfo functionality changed (was updated) last month - it sounds
like there's some issue in your specific connection, of course. There was a
further update in the last week or two - are you still having problems?
