data traffic viewer?

Another thing I'm used to using in XP and missing from my new Vista64 is a
visual indication of traffic coming in and going out. I was using a very
simple free small app called Netpersec that put an icon in the tray showing
activity. It was also possible to open it and see it in a window. Is
there anything like that for Vista64?

I think this might be way more than you're looking for but if
you're interested in snooping network traffic then check out

http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/w...tup-0.99.7.exe

More info at www.wireshark,org. (This is the sniffer formerly known
as ethereal)

Re: data traffic viewer?

Yes, you are correct. I downloaded ethereal a while back and it was way
over my head. I'd just like to see the bandwidth of incoming and outgoing
bits and maybe see which ports are open and sending/receiving. All the
analysis tools of what type of data was going in and out were beyond my
abilities.
