Is it safe to delete BAGS?

Is it safe to delete, on Vista 32-bit,

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local
Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\Bags

and

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local
Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\BagMRU

Will they be rebuilt as needed?

Hi Doc,

Yes, it is safe to delete them. Vista will rebuild them automatically when you restart the computer to their default settings. You can see Method Two in this tutorial for more details on this procedure on resetting the folder view settings.

They should be rebuilt as needed, but you could certainly export the
registry keys first - or rename them instead of deleting them - in order to
be able to restore the old versions if you deem it necessary.
