duplicate documents folder

Anyone familiar with this problem: I have a duplicate copy of the documents
folder. Both have the same files and are mirror images of one another. Any
help you can give me on a way to eliminate this would be appreciated.

Hi dadmartin,
What is the exact location of both of these folders?

Re: duplicate documents folder

Hi,

What is the location of each? Are you using synch folders?

Hi dadmartin,

It depends on where these duplicates are located. Make sure that both of them have the default location set for them. This tutorial will show you how. You will be moving them back to the default location.

Re: duplicate documents folder

They are in the desktop\username location. I have two documents folders.
The weird thing is that when I go to c"\users\username I only see one
documents folder.

Re: duplicate documents folder

Hi,

Are you sure you aren't seeing "Documents" and "My Documents"? The latter is
just a junction point for programs that are hard-coded to expect it to be
there, all it does is redirect them to the "Documents" folder.
