Vista Media Center & PS3 (playstation)

My PS3 can "see" my Vista Media Center service, but the PS3 declares it
needs to be registered in Media Center before it can gain access. How do I
register the PS3 with my Vista Media Center? The PS3 doesn't appear to have
the 8 digit code Vista needs, it does have a device name "PS3-840".

Googling has proved fruitless.

TIA

Steve

You probably want to ask this through Sony PlayStation 3 Support:

Re: Vista Media Center & PS3 (playstation)

I had the same problem and then I ran into this link--->

'GameSpot Forums - PlayStation 3 - How to setup Media Server'

it cleared everything up for me. now my media centers are shared. if
the issue continues, you might try messin with your firewall settings a
bit to allow "windows media player" related content to access your
computer. hope this helps.
