Heard that vista SP1 will fix allot of issues with Vista, plus make it run
much faster ?
also, heard that vista will be able to acess more memory than 4GB, is this
true ?

TIA

Hi Richard,

I have personally not seen much difference on my computer, but you can read through the top of this to provide you with more information on the SP1 RC1 to see if you want to install it. You can always uninstall it if it does not work to well for you.

Re: Vista SP1

NO, this is the answer to both of your questions
I have tested SP1 RC1 for Vista and it does not solve the "VISTA-problem"
being slowlyness.

RE: Vista SP1

Vista 64bit uses more than 4G. I think it is up to 128Gs.

That's right. All 32-bit versions of Vista have a 32-GB address space.
Some of that must be used to access video RAM, BIOS, etc, so you
cannot actually use a full 4GB of RAM.

The 64-bit versions of Vista let you use more RAM. Home Basic will
handle up to 8GB, Home Premium up to 16GB, Business, Enterprise and
Ultimate will handle 128GB.

I usually try to stay far away from the rumor mill, and discount
everything like that that I "hear." I'll see what it does when it gets
here.

However, in that case, you can sure that what you heard is false.
32-bit Vista, with or without SP1, can not access more than 4GB
(actually not even quite that much).
