| | USB DEVICES NOT ALWAYS RECOGNISED Hi, I have vista ultimate and sometimes when I plug in a device I know I have installed and was working it asks me for the drivers again, I search the local computer but it doesn't find them, I thought it was only when I plugged the device into a different port put it seems to just be random, anyone help? Thanks |

| | Re: USB DEVICES NOT ALWAYS RECOGNISED I've got the same problem on and off but pretty much 98% of the time. Looking for a solution quite by accident I just found in Install/Uninstall Windows Components "Manage Removable Storage Devices" or something to this effect. It was unchecked. I checked it but it will be about 18 hours before I can find out if it really worked. I've got Ultimate but had it also in XP all the way.
