Bad PID number, and I can't acll myself a geek....

I need help, seriously.

I got an OEM issue, and I can ALMOST add Ram to my PC by myself, so that
oughta tell y'all how sophisticated I am here.....
I have 4-5 Periphials STILL IN THEIR BOXES cause I don't know how to set
them up!

I bought this Pavilion at ?!&$ CompUSA back in JULY. Have spent less than 15
hours on it since then cause I needed a Computer hacker friend to come add
some stuff and he's Crazy Buzy running some IP dept @ Chase...And I've got a
Huge laptop that I'm accustomed to.

This week I started getting down on this PC, really making it work, making
MYSELF get to know it, etc. Bought Ad-Aware PRO, AVG (Free).

THE PROBLEM: I sorry, but THE ROSETTA STONE does not teach people to
COMPREHEND A LANGUAGE, and I find Tech Support over the phone SO CUMBERSOME
AND IMPOSSIBLE that I spent sever hours looking for a way to get a Canadian
or American Phone Number for HP Customer Support. FINALLY After Calling the
Regional Manager for Customer Support for Eastern USA (He answered and said
he COULD NOT DIRECT ME TO ANY NUMBER!), I called SALES, got a Cool girl, and
TOLD her I was WIPED OUT cause of HP and I NEEDED A PHONE NUMBER. She was SO
COOL and it SEEMED she Really Tried to get me one. She said It Is Luck of the
Draw, that calls are routed all over, but Majority Way overseas. I am Far
from Prejudiced but the 2nd week I had this thing the drive died and there
Best Idea was TO MAIL ME A NEW DRIVE FOR ME TO INSTALL! I am a Mens Wear
Designer!

Here's what Cool HP girl suggested:P CALL MiCROSOFT (cause i told her that
suddenly this CREEPY DEFENDER is BLOCKING STUFF LIKE MY PHOTOSHOP!).

Microsoft scaned for my Product ID and said they the one thay found was not
right so I typed in the one I had and DON'T you know it, the second series of
Letters eree
OEM.

I was ATTEMPTING Live Chat with Microsoft. Then I attempted Email Support,
but FIRST they wanted PID. So no one there will speak with me for less than
$59.00 and I'm LIVID that they are ALL COMPLICIT in this.

WINDOWS VISTA (TM) HOME PREMIUM OEMAct
Product KEY
a-t o t a l -o f -2 7- n u m b e r s

Can Anyone tell me HOW THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH THIS?

I just spent 1/2 an hour on my belly w/ a flashlight & magniflying glass,
writting everything from the Microsoft Sticker, including the 27 numbers
above.

When I go to Systems to find my Product ID, there is a Logo and a link
OFFERIING ME A DIFFEREND PRODUCT KEY!

WHERE AM I ?

Sadly I am in the land that has companies named CompUSA.

Any advice?

I apoligize for being so VERBOSE. I am new here. I TRIED to fill out my
profile and when I placed my cursor over the little symbol it said "fill out
your profile here" yet it wouldn't let me open up. I'm Zeike.

Any help would much Obliged

I'm not sure what you want .. a shoulder to cry on?

Post again only post just one problem at a time .. Start with the major
problem that people answering posts might reasonably be able to help you
with.

Suppose you have a car. Suppose you sell the car. Now suppose the person to
whom you sold the car sells the car to the third person. The third person
can't start the car and comes knocking on your door.

You offer to fix the car for $59 and the third buyer gets upset. You are
that third person.

In your case, take your complaints back to CompUSA.

No, wait...

Oh well, at least you got a good deal, computer, boxes and boxes of stuff to
plug into it.
