Vista Tutorial - Live Messenger Sign in Error

Hello

Been checking the forums for something similar and found a possible answer
but when i tried to do it I think i had an admin error, said i wasnt allowed
to do that (sole user and owner of the computer). So i'll start over

Live Messenger just stays on the signing in screen forever. It worked fine
until the last required update on Vista Ultimate. Someone posted a solution
of typing

netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled

into cmd, which i tried but it said i didnt have the permission to do that.
Been having a few issues with not being administrator. Anyone have any ideas
how i fix this? Would be very grateful.

Did you type it in a Elevated command prompt?
