Can I customize the task bar in in Explorer?

In XP I used to customize the task bar below the menus to include the delete function ( a red
X)Can I customize the task bar beyond Organize, View, System Properties etc to include the
delete icon?

Thats just the default behaviour unfortunately, it cannot be edited.

If you would like to create your own, you might want to take a look at the

thanks for the help. Not a big thing, however, one must admit this lack of flexibility is a
downgrade from XP.
